Clppd is a desktop clipping tool made by Over-Biz. It runs entirely on the user's own Windows computer. This policy explains what Clppd accesses and what it does with it.
What Clppd accesses
When you connect a YouTube channel, Clppd asks Google for two permissions:
- Upload videos (
youtube.upload), so it can publish clips you have reviewed and approved to your channel. - View your YouTube account (
youtube.readonly), so it can show your channel's name and check the status and view counts of clips it uploaded.
Clppd doesn't ask for access to your email, contacts, files or any other Google data.
How your data is used and stored
- Your Google sign-in token is stored only on your computer, encrypted with Windows' built-in data protection. It is never sent to Over-Biz or anyone else.
- Videos, footage and channel information stay on your computer. Clppd sends them only to YouTube, when you upload.
- To suggest clip moments, Clppd sends the text transcript of footage you add to Anthropic's Claude API. Video, audio and YouTube account data are never sent.
- Over-Biz runs no servers for Clppd and collects no analytics, tracking or personal data.
Sharing
We don't sell, rent or share your data. Clppd's use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Removing access
You can disconnect a channel in Clppd at any time, which deletes its stored token. You can also revoke access at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Uninstalling Clppd and deleting its data folder (%LOCALAPPDATA%\Clppd) removes everything it stored.
YouTube
Clppd uses YouTube API Services. By connecting a channel you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. See also the Google Privacy Policy.
